Nalu is a Hawaiian noun for waves or surf. As a verb, to nalu is to ponder, contemplate or mediatate.
As the waves ebb and tide, so has yoga over generations. Currently, yoga's physical practice is experiencing a high tide of popularity in the West and East. For those willing to go deeper, there is a lifetime of yoga philosophy to contemplate and meditate upon.
Yoga Nalu offers students a start on that journey through the physical practice of Ashtanga Yoga and a path for further study.
We look forward to welcoming you on your journey.
Yoga Nalu offers ashtanga yoga classes in the tradition of Shri K. Pattabhi Jois. Anyone can practice this style of yoga - young or old, flexible or stiff, athletic or not. The only requirement is the desire to learn.
Ashtanga classes come in the form of Mysore style (it's like a private lesson in a group setting), weekly led half and full series classes and Introduction to Ashtanga classes for those learning the practice.
Ashtanga incorporates mind, body and soul. Learn more here.
