Introduction to Ashtanga
This 4 session class offers an overview of the Ashtanga practice as students learn and work with the ujjayi breath, bandhas, drishti and the postures. Those new to Ashtanga or yoga are welcome. New class begins monthly.
This is a traditional Ashtanga class completed at your own pace. As a self-led practice, students move through the series according to their own ability. Students will receive individual instruction from the instructor. The instructor will provide hands on adjustments and verbal cues as needed. This teaching style is named after Mysore, India, where Ashtanga yoga originated and was taught by Sri K Pattabhi Jois for many years. ALL LEVELS are welcome and students are encouraged to practice at their own pace.
Teen Introduction to Ashtanga (12 to 17 years old)
